At the North Bay School of Music, we're serious about building a stronger community. That's why we donate to worthy causes that make our community better by helping people, whether it's giving them music, or just a much-needed hand.

Music Matters has been set up by North Bay School of Music in order to provide free music lessons and mentoring to kids who would otherwise be unable to access such opportunities. We strongly believe all kids, regardless of their background or difficult financial situation, should have the opportunity to learn and enjoy music. Click here for more:

"Give Where You Live" is an initiative through the North Bay and Area Community Foundation. A portion of our proceeds are donated to this organization and are used to support local charitable and not-for-profit organizations. The major beneficiary for 2013 is Hands Give Where You Live is helping to support Hands in their Family Matters Campaign in building a Clinical Mental Health Facility to accommodate the 7000 families that they help each year in North Eastern Ontario.

Every few months our students have an opportunity to visit Cassellholme and play (or sing) for the seniors. This is a great way to put a smile on somebody's face. We want our students to know that music (and art) can be used to bring joy and encouragement to someone's life.

At different times throughout the year our school collects non-perishable food items. This is another opportunity for students (and parents) to make a difference in the community.

The North Bay School of Music is also active in donating lessons to silent auctions for worthy causes. If you are interested in a donation of music lesson gift certificates please e-mail us at or call us at (705) 825-0088.
